Position Summary:
Northridge High School is seeking a compassionate and reliable Paraprofessional (Educational Aide) to support classroom teachers and assist students with instructional, social, and behavioral needs. The paraprofessional will work closely with educators to create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and activities.
- Provide individualized or small-group support to students as directed.
- Help maintain classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support students with special needs, including academic and behavioral interventions.
- Assist with supervision during lunch, recess, and other school activities as assigned.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or teacher.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- ?Must meet state and district requirements for paraprofessionals (e.g., passing relevant assessments).
