Examples of Duties Performed:

• Direct the overall operation of the Skilled Nursing Services Department to centers on an interim/temporary basis in accordance with the organization’s established guidelines and current federal and state regulations to provide appropriate care.
• Direct, evaluate, and supervise patient care as necessary.
• Educate, lead, mentor, and supervise department associates.
• Communicate with patients, associates, visitors and family members in an approachable and professional manner.

To be considered for this opportunity applicants must:

• Have a nursing degree from an accredited college or university and a current Georgia RN license in good standing.
• Have prior DON experience in a long-term care setting. Nurse consulting experience in long term care preferred.
• Must be able to travel throughout state as needed for Interim DON assignments. Frequent overnight stays may be required.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain effective working relationships with residents, family members, department heads and fellow staff.
