What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Partnerships position at Northreach?
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-funded, high-growth fintech infrastructure company that is building an AI-powered platform used by financial institutions, fintechs, lenders, payments businesses, marketplaces, and digital platforms to improve business identity, KYB, fraud prevention, risk decisioning, and onboarding.
Following a recent major funding round, the business is entering an important scale phase. They already have strong market traction, a credible customer base, and a growing ecosystem of strategic partners. The next step is to build a more structured, commercially effective partnerships function.
The Role
The business is hiring a Partnerships Lead to activate, develop, and commercialise strategic partnerships across the fintech and financial services ecosystem.
This is not a classic new-logo sales role, nor is it a people-management-heavy “Head of” position.
The focus is on taking existing and emerging partner relationships and turning them into scalable revenue channels through better structure, stronger engagement, co-selling motions, partner enablement, account mapping, and commercial execution.
You will work closely with the CEO, Sales, Solutions, Product, and Customer teams to help build the partnership engine that supports the next stage of growth.
What You will Be Doing
- You will own and develop relationships with strategic partners across fintech, financial services, payments, lending, banking infrastructure, marketplaces, data, risk, compliance, and fraud.
- You will identify where partner relationships can drive revenue, customer acquisition, product adoption, and broader market distribution.
- You will build repeatable partnership motions, including partner mapping, account planning, co-selling processes, referral flows, commercial tracking, and partner enablement.
- You will act as the commercial owner across live partner opportunities, keeping internal teams aligned and ensuring external partners stay engaged.
- You will work closely with sales teams to convert partner-led opportunities into real pipeline and revenue.
- You will bring structure to a fast-moving environment without slowing down execution.
- You will help define what best-in-class partner-led growth looks like for a scaling fintech infrastructure business.
What We are Looking For
- We are looking for someone commercially sharp, structured, highly credible, and comfortable operating with real ownership.
- You may come from partnerships, commercial strategy, strategic growth, business development, fintech, financial services, enterprise SaaS, consulting, or investment banking.
- The strongest candidates will bring:
- Strong experience in partnerships, commercial growth, strategic accounts, business development, or partner-led revenue.
- Exposure to fintech, payments, lending, banking, risk, fraud, identity, compliance, data, enterprise SaaS, or financial infrastructure.
- The ability to manage senior external relationships and influence internal stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement — you can quickly work out where the real revenue opportunity sits.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills across multiple moving parts.
- Confidence operating in a fast-paced, high-performance start-up or scale-up environment.
- A hands-on mentality — this is a build-and-execute role, not a strategy-only position.
- A strong academic or professional background from a high-calibre environment would be highly relevant.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means turning partnerships into a meaningful, measurable growth channel.
You will help create structure around partner relationships, improve commercial execution, and build repeatable motions that drive revenue.
You will become a trusted operator across the business — someone who can sit between partners, customers, sales, product, and leadership, and keep complex opportunities moving forward.
Why This Role Stands Out
This is a chance to join a well-funded fintech infrastructure business at a genuinely exciting point of scale.
You will have senior visibility, direct exposure to leadership, and the opportunity to shape a core commercial function from the ground up.
The company has strong momentum, serious ambition, and a product solving a real problem for financial institutions and fintechs.
For someone who wants pace, ownership, and impact without stepping away from hands-on commercial execution, this is a standout opportunity.
