What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position at Northport Family Medicine?
Position Available: Full-Time Medical Receptionist for a Family Medicine clinic.
Applicants must be available to work the following schedule:
Monday through Thursday: 8am - 5pm
Friday: 8am - 12p
For consideration, applicants must have at least one year of experience in a medical office setting (Family Medicine/Primary Care experience preferred)
This includes experience in the following:
- checking patients in/out for multiple providers
- scheduling appointments for multiple providers
- insurance verification (eligibility & benefits) as well as insurance referrals to other providers
- cash, check, charge transactions / end of shift balancing
- scheduling specialist referrals, as well as radiology/imaging appointments
- radiology/imaging pre-certifications
- answering a multi-line phone system
- high volume faxing
- high volume scanning
Experience with the following EMR Systems preferred: Systemedx
