Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities, including Tummy Time, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, and exploration
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan and coordinate activities
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on their child's progress
-Follows OCFS and NAEYC guidelines and regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of infant care, including feeding, diapering, and sleep routines
- Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants
- Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication skills with both team members and families
- Patient, attentive, and responsive to infants’ individual needs
- Ability to follow daily schedules while remaining flexible to infants’ cues
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment
- Basic knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with infants throughout the day
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (salary based on education and experience) OR a CDA (Child Development Association) or willingness to obtain either.
- Previous experience working as an Infant Teacher or in a similar role
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check
