The HR Safety and Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions while ensuring full compliance with workplace safety regulations and employment laws. This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on safety management to support a compliant, safe, and high-performing workplace.
Salary: $80,000-$100,000 (based on experience)
Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage employee records and HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Administer compensation, benefits, and leave programs
- Support leadership with workforce planning and organizational development
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and workplace issues
- Lead disciplinary processes and ensure consistent policy enforcement
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with regulations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other regulatory agencies
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs and procedures
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses
- Lead incident investigations and ensure proper reporting and corrective actions
- Maintain OSHA logs and compliance documentation
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and workplace issues
- Lead disciplinary processes and ensure consistent policy enforcement
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture
- Monitor changes in labor laws and safety regulations
- Conduct internal audits to ensure HR and safety compliance
- Maintain company handbook and policies in alignment with legal requirements
- Partner with legal counsel and leadership on compliance matters
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, or related field
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, including safety or compliance responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and OSHA regulations
- Experience managing employee relations and workplace investigations
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or OSHA certification
- Experience in warehousing and logistics
