Position Summary: This is a leadership position playing a key role in building, scaling, and driving the national growth strategy for a US equipment finance platform. This role combines strategic leadership, business development, and portfolio management to deliver profitable, sustainable growth across lower and middle-market segments.

The role will oversee end-to-end execution—from originating and structuring complex transactions to leading go-to-market strategy, managing key client relationships, and ensuring strong risk-adjusted returns. Operating at an enterprise level, this leader will play a critical role in shaping product strategy, building market presence, and fostering a high-performance, client-centric approach.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.


Strategic & Market Leadership

  • Define and execute the national growth strategy for the equipment finance product line, focused on vendor programs.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable sales, distribution, and market coverage plans.
  • Maintain deep expertise in industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy and product evolution.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums and conferences to enhance market presence and generate insights.

Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Leverage an established network to generate new vendor programs and expand market share nationwide.
  • Originate, structure, and close small-, mid-, and large-ticket equipment finance transactions across diverse industries.
  • Consistently deliver on, and exceed, revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Identify share-of-wallet opportunities and drive cross-selling initiatives across the client portfolio.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic and high-value clients and referral partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, delivering tailored financing solutions aligned to client needs and business objectives.
  • Manage and grow complex client portfolios, optimizing retention, satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

Deal Structuring & Execution

  • Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex, high-value vendor programs and transactions.
  • Oversee credit approvals, pricing coordination, and deal execution in collaboration with Credit, Risk, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure alignment between client needs, risk appetite, and business objectives.
  • Apply sound judgment to balance growth with portfolio quality and risk management requirements.

Cross-Functional & Enterprise Leadership

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Risk, Credit, Operations, and Product to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Influence product design, pricing strategies, and operational processes to enhance competitiveness and scalability.
  • Provide strategic reporting and insights to senior leadership on performance, market trends, and client outcomes.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert and advisor to senior leaders across the organization.

Risk, Governance & Performance Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks.
  • Take measured risks aligned to the organization’s risk appetite while protecting assets and ensuring portfolio quality.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively optimize returns, including ROE thresholds.
  • Drive disciplined performance management and accountability across the function.

Qualifications:


  • Extensive experience in equipment finance, corporate banking, or specialty lending sales and relationship management.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing complex transactions and managing vendor programs.
  • Established network within the middle-market and equipment finance ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of credit structuring, risk management, and portfolio optimization.


Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
