What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Education and Health Teacher position at NorthPoint Christian Academy?
NorthPoint Christian Academy is looking for a part time Physical Education and Health Teacher. This individual will work to guide Elementary, Middle School, and High School students. The best candidate would be able to plan and develop P.E. and Health lessons that will engage and motivate students to be more active. All staff must be able to align themselves with the school's Statement of Faith.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging physical education curriculum tailored to elementary and middle school students.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices.
- Opportunities for coaching are available for additional stipends.
Qualifications
- Strong classroom management skills and experience working with children in elementary and middle school setting
- Proficient in teaching physical education and developing engaging lesson plans
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff
