Position: Teacher’s Assistant

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Northminster Early Childhood Center is dedicated to nurturing the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of young children in a warm and supportive environment. We are looking for a creative, energetic, and dedicated Teacher’s Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful impact every day.
Responsibilities
- Support the classroom teacher in implementing daily activities and routines.
- Assist with preparing materials, projects, and classroom setups.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with each child and encourage a love of learning.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Prepare snacks and assist with cleaning and sanitizing classrooms.
- Support children with toileting needs when necessary.
- Collaborate with the teacher on behavior guidance and classroom management.
- Adapt to changing needs throughout the school day.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or Head of Staff.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Excludes scheduled school breaks and half days
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 1 year of Early Childhood Education experience preferred
- A genuine love for working with young children
- Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay flexible in a dynamic environment
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs, move freely, and engage in activities with children
