CMM Programmer

CONTACT ROLE. Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CMM Operator/Programmer (CONTRACT ROLE) to join our precision measurement team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and be proficient with PC-DMIS software. This role is critical to ensuring our components meet tight tolerances and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program CMM machines to perform dimensional inspections on components.
• Create, edit, and validate measurement programs using PC-DMIS.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to develop accurate inspection plans.
• Conduct first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate measurement records.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain CMM equipment, including calibration checks and routine maintenance.
• Assist in training junior CMM operators as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CMM Operator/Programmer.
• Proficiency in PC-DMIS software is required.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection principles.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and fixtures.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in metrology or manufacturing is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with multiple CMM brands and types.
• Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 or similar quality standards.
• Ability to develop inspection strategies for complex parts.

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 72 – 84 per week
