What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Northland Veterinary Clinic?
Northland Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a full-time receptionist to our team. Individuals with strong customer service skills are encouraged to apply!
Veterinary Receptionists must have exceptional client service and communication skills, strong computer skills, willingness to learn, and the confidence to deal with stressful situations.
The ideal candidate must be friendly, reliable, detail oriented, motivated individual who is dedicated to helping provide outstanding care to all of our wonderful clients and patients. The full time receptionist works 30 hours a week and one Saturday a month. Veterinary receptionists also assist the medical team as needed. Veterinary experience is preferred, but not required.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet clients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries, scheduling appointments, and answering/managing multiple phone lines
- Checking patients in and out
- Handles financial transactions, including processing payments and invoicing
- Communicate effectively with clients, veterinary staff, and other team members to relay messages, appointments, and important information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records in the practice management software system.
- Ensure the reception area is clean and presentable
- Comfortable with dogs, cats, and some pocket pets
**Prior medical experience helpful. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. Must be able to adhere to strict client confidentiality restrictions. Must possess knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, composition and grammar (verbal and written).
Salary is based on experience.
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
