Help students discover a passion for reading and writing by providing high-quality reading intervention services. Northland Speech and Language Therapy is proud to offer one-on-one reading intervention, paid time to document and plan sessions, and a fun work environment.
Northland Speech and Language Therapy is seeking an excellent Speech-Language Pathologist, Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), or a Teacher to join our team at a therapist-owned, thriving, pediatric private practice in Kansas City, Missouri.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders, education, or a related field.
- Hold a current Missouri teaching, SLP, or SLPA license or be able to obtain a license through the state of Missouri.
- Evidence of successful experience working with preschool through high school age students.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have experience or training using Orton-Gillingham structured reading methodology. Willing to provide training for the right candidate.
- Complete progress monitoring, as indicated, using a variety of spelling and reading tools (i.e., red word spelling lists, spelling word lists, reading fluency).
- Ability to follow directions and implement reading intervention services under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Maintain records of student progress by completing daily documentation with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Clear, but compassionate communicator who feels comfortable speaking with parents about progress towards goals and home exercise programs.
Work Schedule:
- Ability to work after school and evening hours, two to four nights per week. Northland Speech and Language is open Monday through Thursday.
- Compensation is based on experience and hours worked per week.
