Position Overview
We are seeking kind, compassionate, and dependable Caregivers, Nursing Assistants (NAs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who enjoy making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting seniors and interested in building a rewarding career in healthcare.
Northland offers training and will support state registration for individuals interested in becoming a Registered Nurse Assistant (NA).
As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide hands-on assistance and support to participants in clinic, home, and community settings, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist participants with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, and comfort needs
- Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks as directed
- Observe, document, and report changes in participant condition
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Follow individualized care plans and safety guidelines to ensure high-quality care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Willingness to become registered as a Nurse Assistant if not currently certified (training and support provided)
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Passion for working with older adults in a supportive, mission-driven environment
