CMM Programmer & Quality Technician
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated CMM Programmer & Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will ensure product quality and precision through advanced measurement techniques and robust inspection processes. You’ll work with state-of-the-art CMM equipment and play a key role in maintaining compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, operate, and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including Zeiss systems using Calypso, Metrolog (Metro Mech), and/or CMM Manager
- Perform dimensional inspections on complex machined parts and assemblies
- Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and height gauges
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to develop accurate inspection plans
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Document inspection results, calibration records, and non-conformance reports
- Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with machining and manufacturing teams to improve processes and product quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience programming and operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CMM software (Calypso, Metrolog, and/or CMM Manager preferred)
- Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and ASME standards
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for inspection planning
- Working knowledge of machining processes and CNC operations
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to move parts using cranes or carts
- Ability to stand and remain active for 8–10 hour shifts
- Adherence to all safety and GMP procedures
