Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scanning Coordinator to join our grocery store team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of product pricing and barcode information throughout our store. Your work will help guarantee that customers are charged correctly and that the shopping experience remains seamless.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update pricing and product information in the store’s scanning system
- Conduct regular audits of shelf prices and signage to ensure accuracy
- Identify and correct pricing discrepancies promptly
- Coordinate weekly and promotional price changes
- Communicate with department managers regarding pricing updates and errors
- Train staff on proper scanning procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with store and government pricing regulations
- Generate and analyze pricing reports to support store operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in retail, grocery, or a similar setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient computer and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
