Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Woodshop Tradesman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in woodworking and carpentry, with experience working with woodworking tools. This position requires precision, creativity, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring projects meet our high standards of craftsmanship.
Duties:
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling cabinetry and finish trim.
- Execute trim carpentry and frame carpentry tasks as needed
- Fabricate cabinets according to design specifications while ensuring precision.
- Install cabinets, trim, and hardware.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
- Operate CNC machinery for fabrication tasks when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in finish carpentry or woodworking.
- Consistent previous work history.
- Proficient in using various wood working hand tools and power tools relevant to finish carpentry and/or cabinet making.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site effectively.
- Familiarity with construction site safety practices and protocols.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with cabinetry fabrication and installation
- Knowledge and use of a CNC machine and programing is desirable but not required.
Wage starting at $20/hr with additional compensation based on experience.
