Commercial Concrete Foreman

Northland Concrete & Masonry (NCM) is a leading commercial concrete and masonry contractor specializing in complex commercial, industrial, institutional, and large-scale construction projects. Our work includes structural concrete, foundations, slabs, formwork, masonry, and specialty scopes.

Position Overview

NCM is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead field crews and coordinate daily construction activities. This individual will help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to NCM’s quality standards. The Foreman will work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate concrete crews, laborers, apprentices, and other field personnel.
• Provide daily direction, assign tasks, and monitor crew productivity and progress.
• Oversee concrete operations, including foundations, footings, walls, slabs, formwork, placement, finishing, and related work.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and work activities to meet project schedules.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, elevations, and project details.
• Promote a safe jobsite by enforcing OSHA requirements, NCM safety policies, and proper work practices.
• Maintain high standards for workmanship, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate daily progress, field conditions, manpower needs, and potential issues to project leadership.
• Coordinate work with Superintendents, Project Managers, general contractors, suppliers, and other trades.
• Mentor and develop crew members while promoting teamwork, accountability, and craftsmanship.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 years of commercial concrete construction experience; previous Foreman or Lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods and field operations.
• Experience leading crews and coordinating daily work activities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality standards, and construction sequencing.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project leadership and other trades.
• Experience in a union construction environment preferred.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
