Office Manager / Bookkeeper
Northland Auto Service is seeking a reliable and organized Office Manager/ Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a critical role of all office operations and accounting functions.

Northland Auto Service in Virginia, MN, located at 1507 Southern Drive, is a locally owned, full-service auto repair shop. We offer high quality technical services for cars, trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles. Established in 1984, the shop has been a trusted part of the community for decades. With over 20 years of consistent ownership and management, the business has maintained a strong reputation for dependable service.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Primary Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Manage QuickBooks
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Process bank deposits and reconcile accounts
- Stay current on payroll requirements and tax changes
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll and payroll liabilities, including special deductions (child support, garnishments, 401(K), etc.)
- Onboard new employees
- Maintain employee records
Reports
· Monthly Sales Tax, Quarterly Taxes - State & Federal
· Annual 401 K compliance
· End of Year Tax Prep
Office Operations
- Process daily mail and email
- Answer phones
- Manage petty cash and office supply purchases
- Send correspondence and maintain mailing operations
- Coordinate with service writer on invoice processing
Forms & Office Supplies Management
- Maintain a filing system that complies with rules and regulations of the state and federal governments
- Maintain stock of inspection forms
- Ensure office supplies are well-stocked
General Support
- Take initiative on tasks that help the business run smoothly
- Be a team player who steps in where needed
- Awareness of operations and how all affects the process
- Identify breakdowns and assists as needed
