In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to our lending team—reviewing loan packages, supporting dealer relationships, ensuring compliance, and delivering an outstanding experience to both internal and external members. Qualifications Desired
- Four (4) or more years of lending experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage and business lending
- Strong understanding of lending documents, regulations, policies, and procedures
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to multitask and work effectively with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Initiative and innovation in developing new products or process improvements
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external members in alignment with our service standards
- Review loan packages and documentation in a timely manner to ensure compliance with policies, rates, terms, procedures, and accuracy requirements
- Provide appropriate counteroffers and next steps to originators and branch staff
- Render quick, sound lending decisions for originators, branch staff, and dealers
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with staff, members, and dealers, including articulating reasons for requirements or decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth lending process for all parties
- Disburse loans accurately and in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong dealer relationships through regular communication and visits
- Develop and implement strategies to grow indirect lending partnerships and maintain existing relationships
- Meet established annual indirect lending goals
- Utilize indirect lending software efficiently while maintaining compliance and operational effectiveness
- Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and rates to enhance compliance and lending efficiency
- Maintain compliance with lending policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards
- Participate in training, seminars, and professional development opportunities
- Assist in training team members on efficient loan origination and clean one-touch file processing
- Support additional loan functions, including mortgage and business lending, as volume requires
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
