About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Supervisor to join our growing team. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial and technically strong professional with 5 years of public accounting experience who is looking to advance into leadership. You will work with a diverse client base, ranging from large corporations to closely held businesses across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise tax engagements in accordance with professional standards
- Plan, schedule, and manage tax projects and staff assignments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Review complex tax returns and supporting work papers
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic recommendations
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding project status and opportunities
- Train, mentor, and supervise team members
- Maintain technical expertise across relevant tax areas
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA credentials or advanced degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in public accounting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel, ProSystem fx Tax, and CCH Axcess Tax
