Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) seeks a motivated and mission-driven Associate Director, Planned Giving to support the Advancement Office's special campaign project. Reporting to the Director of Legacy Giving, this individual will confirm up to 100 unverified planned gifts, cultivate and solicit a mixed portfolio of planned and annual giving prospects, and assist with the implementation of marketing plans for life income vehicles and bequest arrangements to alumni, parents, and friends. This is a temporary, part-time role available through the end of the current campaign.

A Day in the Life
In this role, you'll play an integral part in NMH's fundraising campaign by verifying documented planned gifts and managing a portfolio of planned giving prospects. You'll serve as a key internal resource for planned giving, collaborating with Advancement Services to ensure accurate reporting and with Donor Relations to support personalized stewardship communications. You'll remain current on tax laws relevant to philanthropy, particularly in life income and estate planning, and will contribute to the advancement of NMH's legacy giving initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in fundraising or related planned giving work
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and to self-direct priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with comfort engaging diverse audiences
- High degree of discretion and respect for confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with fundraising databases; experience with PG Calc is highly desired
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered
- Willingness to work collaboratively across teams and occasionally travel to meet with donors
