Boys JV Ice Hockey Assistant Coach Adjunct Opening - Winter Season 2026-2027
Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent co-educational boarding school in Western Massachusetts, seeks an energetic and passionate coach to assist the Boys’ JV Ice Hockey program. The position will work with the Head coach to assist in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to helping run practices, building skills, and participating in interscholastic competitions. The position runs from November 2026 to March 2027.
The successful applicant will have at least a bachelor’s degree and should have experience playing and/or coaching ice hockey at the high school or collegiate level. The ideal candidate should also have an understanding of the academic, social, and emotional development of high school student-athletes. The assistant will instruct players on the rules, regulations, equipment, and technical aspects of the sport. Additional qualifications include strong listening skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work with colleagues.
Candidates must be familiar with boarding school life and work; demonstrate experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment as well as a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
The stipend for this position is $3000.
