A well-established private dental practice in West Orange, NJ is seeking an experienced and personable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team.
We are looking for a hygienist who takes pride in providing excellent clinical care while also building genuine, long-term relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a positive personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to make patients feel comfortable and well cared for.

- Provide comprehensive preventive hygiene care, including routine cleanings and periodontal maintenance
- Perform periodontal assessments, charting, and screenings
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and recommended treatment
- Build strong relationships with patients and encourage long-term preventive care
- Communicate clinical findings and treatment recommendations effectively with patients and doctors
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Follow established clinical protocols, infection control procedures, and OSHA/HIPAA requirements
- Work collaboratively with the doctors and dental team to provide an exceptional patient experience
- Manage a productive schedule while maintaining a high standard of patient care
- NJ Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Ideally 2 years of clinical hygiene experience
- Strong clinical and periodontal assessment skills
- Warm, friendly, and professional personality
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Someone who enjoys getting to know patients and building a loyal patient following
- Coachability and willingness to take direction and feedback
- Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to balance efficiency with high-quality, patient-centered care
- Experience with dental practice management/charting software is a plus
