Job Summary
This position’s main purpose is customer service in the library related to all circulation aspects of the library.

Library Information Specialist
Education/Qualifications
- Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
- Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
- Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency with computer and technology: MS Office, Canvas
- Ability to be self-motivated and prioritize work duties and responsibilities
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Work area is inside in a public service area
- Able to bend low, reach overhead, and lift up to 35 pounds

Job Duties
These are the job duties for required of the position.

Responsibility/Duty
- Staff the circulation desk in the library. This includes some evening and weekend hours.
- Shelve returned and used items.
- Help library patrons locate items in the library collection.
- Assist library patrons with basic technology and equipment use.
- Assist with programming and outreach activities.
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, and the community.
- Other duties as assigned.
