Job Summary
As an upbeat, student-first representative of Sheridan College’s Enrollment Services team, the CTE Enrollment Counselor connects prospective students with transformative educational pathways. This role drives strategic recruitment and ongoing support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, leveraging a deep understanding of workforce needs to guide prospective students from their first inquiry to graduation.

Director of Advising and Recruitment
Education/Qualifications
- Associates degree, preferably in a CTE related field
- Valid driver’s license required; Must be insurable and eligible to drive rental vehicles.
- Community college experience preferred
- Experience in working with individuals of all ages preferred
- Experience in college admissions preferred
- Willingness to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends, as required for recruitment events.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent human relations, customer service and organization skills
- Outstanding written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Analysis and problem-solving using creativity, good judgment and initiative
- Sensitivity to and respect for the various populations we serve
- Experience in public speaking and presenting to groups
- Experience with MS Office Suite and CRM tools
- Experience working collaboratively with a variety of constituencies ranging from community members, schools and college students to faculty, staff and families

Recruitment & Outreach
- Coordinate on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities tailored for prospective students with primary focus on CTE programs.
- Represent the institution at high school visits, regional college fairs, community events, and special promotional programs with primary focus in our local schools Sheridan and Johnson counties.

System Utilization & Marketing Support
- Effectively utilize the institutional Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track prospective students and manage the enrollment pipeline.
- Collaborate on marketing initiatives, assisting with the development of advertising programs, recruitment publications, and digital outreach materials.

- Serve as a dedicated resource for prospective students and their families, offering clear direction through every stage of the college enrollment process.
- Provide in-depth counseling to new students regarding application requirements, deadlines, and institutional onboarding procedures.

- Deliver essential academic advising and support to prospective and incoming students to align their personal and career goals with institutional programs.
