We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Coordinator to join our team in the healthcare industry. As the Surgical Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the surgical scheduling process, ensuring that all procedures are scheduled efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with physicians, surgical facilities, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all surgical procedures are properly coordinated and executed. Your role will be critical in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care possible.Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with physicians, surgical facilities, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the seamless coordination and execution of surgical procedures.Communicate clearly and comprehensively with patients and their families, equipping them with the necessary information to prepare for surgical interventions.Assist the Lead Surgical Coordinator in documenting and updating the surgical scheduling process, ensuring that all procedures are scheduled efficiently and effectively.Maintain precise and current records of all surgical procedures to support operational integrity. Execute additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned to support overall departmental goals. Other responsibilities as assignedSkills:As the Surgical Coordinator, you will use your organizational and communication skills daily. You will need to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software will ensure that all records and schedules are properly maintained. Additionally, your ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment will ensure that all surgical procedures are properly coordinated and executed. Your bilingual skills in English and Spanish will be an asset in communicating with our diverse patient population.Minimum Qualifications:An associate's degree in healthcare administration or a related field 3-5 years of experience in surgical scheduling or a related fieldStrong organizational and communication skillsTeam player, strong work ethic, and detail-orientedAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant softwarePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related fieldExperience with the NexTech systemCertification in surgical technology or a related fieldExperience working with an ophthalmology practice with 10 or more physiciansBilingual in English and SpanishBenefitsWe offer generous PTO, 401(k) contributions, and competitive insurance benefits for full-time regular employees.
