Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Primary Therapist at Northern Virginia Adolescent Treatment Center, located in Chantilly, VA. The Primary Therapist will provide therapeutic services to adolescents, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and working closely with families to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Treatment Planning, including the ability to create and implement individualized treatment goals
- Experience in Social Work and Case Management to support clients and coordinate care effectively
- Knowledge of Chemical Dependency and its impact on adolescents, and relevant treatment approaches
- Understanding of Dual Diagnosis and experience in providing care to individuals with co-occurring disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required)
- Valid clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of Virginia or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with adolescents and/or in a residential treatment setting is a plus
