Job Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors for our indoor summer program. Counselors will help create a safe, structured, and fun environment while leading engaging activities and building positive relationships with campers.
Schedule:
Camp hours are 8:15am-3:15pm, unless otherwise noted.
Program Dates:
- August 17th–21st (8:15 AM–4:15 PM)
- August 24th–28th (8:15 AM–4:15 PM)
- August 31st–September 4th
- Yom Kippur Camp: September 21st
- Columbus Day Camp: October 12th
- Election Day Camp: November 3rd
- Teachers Convention Camp: November 5th & 6th
- Holiday Break Camp: December 23rd & December 28th–31st
- MLK Jr. Day Camp: January 18th
- February Break Camp: February 15th–19th
- Good Friday Camp: March 26th
- Spring Break Camp 1: March 29th–April 2nd
- Spring Break Camp 2: April 5th–9th
- Spring Break Camp 3: April 12th–16th
- Spring Break Camp 4: April 19th–23rd
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively engage a group of campers throughout the day in an indoor setting
- Lead and participate in activities such as sports, games, arts & crafts, team-building exercises, and group events
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all campers at all times
- Maintain a positive, organized, and respectful camp environment
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and transitions between activities and spaces
- Collaborate with fellow staff to execute daily schedules and programs
- Manage behavior and resolve conflicts in a calm and professional manner
- Follow all camp policies, safety procedures, and facility guidelines
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children preferred (camp, coaching, tutoring, babysitting, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Energetic with the ability to keep campers engaged throughout the day
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Pay: $15.49 - $20.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
