Project Overview: Will be responsible for design & development of data warehouses in Snowflake. Strong prior experience building data warehouses in Snowflake is necessary. Contractor’s Role: Work with business owners and IT stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to design data warehouses and data marts Experience Level: 10+ years Qualifications (must haves): • SnowPro Certification required • A foundation in systems development • Data modeling using Kimball Methodology • Data design • Data Architectures • Data Pipelines • Experience in performance tuning complex queries • Real Time Data Processing, streaming, networking, and security • Established and emerging data technologies such as NoSQL, distributed databases • Communication and political savvy • Problem solving / analytical thinking and skills • Teamwork and collaboration Nice to Have: • Experience with Devops and CI/CD technologies is a plus (such as Git, Jenkins, Docker) • Experience with streaming data processing technologies is a plus (such as Spark or Kafka) • Experience in financial industry or banking is a plus Tasks & Responsibilities: • Work with business owners and IT stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements to design data warehouses and data marts • Develop conceptual and physical data models as well as flow diagrams illustrate current and future state data architecture • Establish good data modelling principles and effective data quality standards • Act as subject matter expert on all aspects of the data architecture, including models, data staging and ETL frameworks • Guide and mentor development teams on ETL, SQL queries and data design best practices • Evangelize modern ideas and technologies for data design and data architectures across the organization
