Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is the Major Trauma Centre of the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). An exciting opportunity is now available for you to join the service as the Trauma Case Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2. The Trauma Case Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership in trauma care in the Emergency Department and inpatient units, including Intensive Care.

Where you'll be working
As part of the Major Trauma Centre, the Trauma Service aims to provide outstanding care of the critically ill patient, overseeing the patient care pathway from Retrieval to Recovery. The Trauma Case Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership in trauma care in the Emergency Department and inpatient units, including Intensive Care. The Trauma Case Manager is in charge of case management of severely injured trauma patients and will ensure patient management meets minimum standards and process indicators.
What You'll Be Doing
The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and initiating activities to improve clinical service delivery and patient clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrated skills in computer use and applications such as Windows, word processing and database.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
