Where you'll be working
The Staffing Coordinator is part of the Staffing Team located with Nursing and Midwifery Operations at RNSH. The position rotates 7 days per week, morning and evenings.
What You'll Be Doing
The Registered Nurse (RN) Staffing Coordinator works in conjunction with the Nursing Unit Manager, Nurse Manager, Patient Flow Manager and the after-hours teams to ensure appropriate staffing levels for RNSH.
The Staffing Coordinator is an RN position that works in conjunction with the Staffing NUM to backfill nursing vacancies. They utilise their clinical background knowledge to ensure staffing levels meet the needs of the facility. This includes allocating the calibre of RN/EN/AIN staffing according to individual skill, ward skill mix and ward patient acuity.
The position will be a rotating position of days, evenings and weekends.

Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA).
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team in a high pressure environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high level negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, including accuracy and attention to detail.
- High level computer skills including windows and web based programs.
- Experience in a Staffing Coordinator role desirable.
