Job Summary
The Quality Auditor is responsible for verifying each part meets the requirements as stated on the QCP / IR and notifying the correct personnel if a NG condition is found.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Basic understanding of engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management on any given quality issue.
Evaluates data, applying statistical quality control procedures (as necessary).
Performs inspection procedures including checking dimensions of related surfaces, holes, etc., as well as assessment of finish, hardness, detection of cracks or any other defects and use of lab testing equipment.
Records results on inspection reports or charts and reports number of defects found. Posts or maintains forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or special quality studies.
Performs assigned routine tests on materials, goods in process and finished goods where results are compared with company quality standards. Reports results to QE and QM who will make an analysis and take appropriate action.
Stops production if a nonconformance is identified.
Monitors the quality of manufacturing processes.
Notifies supervisors when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are noted. Answers production operator calls as necessary.
Assists with filing appropriate QC paperwork, cleaning the lab and sharing important quality related information.
Report any unsafe working conditions to the area supervisor or senior staff.
Maintain the removal and return of quality equipment to the Lab.
Participate or assist in third party audits (IATF / Customer / etc.)
Understand attribute gages and assist in training other team members on the proper use of these gages.

Required Experience
Work and communicate effectively in a team environment
Automotive manufacturing experience a plus
Required Safety Equipment
PPE as required per department (Saf-001)
Educational skills required
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Job Requirements – ALL jobs
Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a consistent basis
Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10 hour or 12 hour shifts
