What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor / Food Processing Supervisor position at Northern Pride Design?
Year-round position in the company s labor pool accountable for organizing and supervising food production employees on a daily basis. Serves a key day-to-day leader ensuring proper food safety procedures and smooth operation of line. Occasional Saturday work may be required, but role is typically scheduled Mondays through Fridays and shifts are typically during daytime hours. Essential Functions:
- Supervises and plays a key role with set up of production lines prior to start of each day and ensures department is ready.
- Tracks and monitors employee disciplinary action and addresses issues in a timely manner.
- Monitors and records attendance on a daily basis.
- Monitors production and food safety throughout the day performing and/or monitoring quality checks and standards as designated per company and USDA policies/regulations.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of HACCP regulations and all production procedures, equipment.
- Upholds company mission statement towards supplying safe, high quality turkey products.
- Assures production lot changes are handled in compliance to company policy.
- Monitors/assists with housekeeping procedures.
- Monitors/assists with new employee training.
- Conducts performance evaluations for line employees.
- Works with other management personnel and USDA to assure overall plant operations are handled in compliance to guidelines.
