We are seeking a Mental Health Professional or Clinical Trainee to join our Children and Families team. This role will support a school-based collaboration with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe and will serve Hinkley, McGregor, Nay-Ah-Shing, and/ or Onamia schools. The general purpose of the Mental Health Professional is to provide clinical services to youth and families referred to Northern Pines Mental Health Center.
Essential Functions include:
- Intakes, diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, skills training.
- Provision of diagnostic evaluations and updates.
- Develop a treatment plan within the first three sessions (including the plan for family involvement/consultation and cultural considerations). Implement the treatment plan.
- Completion of a Behavior Intervention/Crisis Plan within three sessions.
- Complete 3rd party billing requirements, including obtaining prior authorizations, and communicating with the NPMHC billing office as needed.
- Completion of paperwork within 24 hours of service delivery.
- Clinical supervision of the mental health practitioners or behavior aides ensuring compliance with the treatment plan through treatment plan reviews as primary clinician
- Schedule and attend individual treatment plan reviews (every 90 days).
- Liaison with the schools, social services, court services, medical agencies, mental health providers, managed care organizations and the community at large.
- Participate in the referral process.
- Provide leadership in the intake process involving appropriate multi-disciplinary team members.
- Crisis intervention services as requested.
Qualifications Include:
- Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Clinical Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work)
- Independently licensed or license eligible. Master's level clinicians pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply!
- Experience working with children
- Competencies and ability to provide empirically supported psychotherapy to address a wide range of clinical and behavioral needs
- Excellent written (computer based) and verbal skills
- Electronic Records Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License
Compensation & Benefits include:
- Wage Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
