As a Kitchen Aide, you will be working to provide healthy and nutritious foods to the children we serve on a daily basis.

To be a Kitchen Aide, you must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift on a regular basis. Our ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, as well as a valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle.
You will be preparing meals for the children in the center, as well as providing for the safety of all food served to the children each day. You will collaborate with other staff at the site on a regular basis to ensure that any special needs are met. You will ensure the kitchen is clean and safe at all times, and you will monitor the kitchen supplies and replenish as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Current Food Handler's Card (can earn upon hire)
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift on a daily basis
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare breakfast and snacks (depending upon center hours) and take temperatures of catered lunch food and place into bowls for serving. Prepare special needs meals as stated on the menu.
- Collaborate with center staff to get the daily lunch count and communicate this information with the food service driver. Communicate with center staff regarding any menu changes or special needs meals as needed.
- Maintain correct amount of emergency food, stock food items, and bulk food.
- Operate commercial dish sanitizer and food warmer.
- Complete duties on the kitchen cleaning schedule and keep the kitchen clean at all times.
- Purchase groceries from the store and/or pick up grocery orders.
- Assist in the classroom as needed as directed by the supervisor.
