What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apple Packer position at Northern Orchard Co., Inc.?
Northern Orchard is an apple wholesale grower, storer, packer, and shipper. Our factory provides apples to many grocery store chains. We are seeking candidates to work on our packing line grading and sorting apples in trays and bags for wholesale. This job involves attention to detail and a steady and often brisk pace of output.
Candidates will be taught the grading standards for apples, including defect identification, sizing, presentation, and proper handling, and will be expected to meet industry standard. Candidates will be subject to a two week training period at the end of which they will be expected to meet a production minimum of 50 boxes per day. Must be able to lift 40lbs comfortably, and be able to stand for the duration of the shift. Machinery has moving parts. No experience necessary.
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
