Our Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse under the supervision of the Medical Directors, is responsible for ensuring the efficient treatment of patients. HOPES has an integrated team model approach to patient care. Part of the Provider’s responsibility will include participation in organization wide Patient Centered Medical Home activities to enhance patient care.
This PA or APRN will be licensed in the State of Nevada (or eligible) with a specialty in adult primary care as well as Board certified (or eligible). They will practice evidence-based and team based medical care. They will be an excellent, experienced primary care provider with a heart for our mission and our patients. Success in this role requires superb communication and will help patients connect with their primary team and other services. This role requires that you be an "agility" expert-that means agility plus!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES’ policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.
- PA or APRN licensed in the State of Nevada with a specialty in adult primary care.
- Nevada State Board of Pharmacy and DEA License.
- Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance.
- 5 years of experience as a primary care provider required.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD10CM coding.
- Knowledge of and ability to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in Family Practice primary care setting, acting as part of a Care Team.
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing electronic medical records, word processing, databases and email.
- Skill in operating various office equipment: calculator, copy/scanning machine, fax machine, and telephone.
- Skill in operating and interpreting various outpatient medical office equipment.
- Ability to read, write legibly, calculate mathematical figures and medication doses.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.
- Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members in a Care Team structure to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinics and across the HOPES organization.
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to interview and communicate either in person or with an interpreter with patients in a clinical setting in English.
- Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, etc.
Salary : $113,000 - $169,000
