This Pharmacy Tech opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule.This dynamic individual will assist the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties.

• MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**:
• High School graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician school or equivalent work experience and PTCB certified.
• Minimum of two years (2) required, preferable in a hospital setting.
• Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
• Licensed by Nevada Board of Pharmacy and Certified by PTCB
• Automated pharmacy systems.
• IV Laminar Flow Hood, or willingness to learn.
• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES**:
• Assists the Pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Demonstrates ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filing various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations.
• Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures.
• Assists in filling prescriptions.
