- SUMMARY**:
- MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**:
- High school graduate; BS degree preferred.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) in radiography and certified/board eligible in mammography.
- Certified in the State of Nevada to practice and administer radiation.
- One-year mammography experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES**:
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards and extraneous radiation to patients
- Able to assess patient pain interfering with imaging procedure.
- Thorough understanding of breast anatomy
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
