This**Lab Assistant**opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual to p

erform venipuncture and skin puncture competently and expediently. Has working knowledge of test requirements, assists in clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include venipuncture, blood cultures and capillary blood samples.

• MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State Laboratory Assistant licensure required
• Current BLS certification
• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES**:
• Draws blood competently, consistently and expediently with as little patient discomfort as possible.
• Records phlebotomy requisitions on log.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Labels and records all test tubes, logs procedures and files paperwork.
• Completes duties in a time efficient manner, knows how to prioritize STAT orders, ASAP orders, scheduled orders and outpatients.
