Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and weed control to uphold the visual appeal of outdoor areas
- Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs for proper care; execute tree trimming and gardening activities to promote healthy growth
- Manage groundskeeping tasks involving pesticide application, pest control, and soil management in accordance with safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly
- Assist with landscape design projects or hardscape installations to improve outdoor aesthetics and functionality
- Perform duties such as shoveling and plowing the parking lot and driveway
- Managing the cleaning of the building's interior such as sweeping and mopping and dusting
Requirements
- Proven outdoor work experience with knowledge of landscaping, groundskeeping practices
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, lawn care equipment, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols
- Strong understanding of pesticide management procedures and environmental safety standards
- Experience with grounds maintenance equipment operation such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation controllers
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects as needed
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment use and hazardous materials handling
