Northern Michigan Vein Specialists is seeking an upbeat, dedicated, and patient-focused Vascular Ultrasound Technologist (RVT/RVS) to join our fun, fast-paced healthcare team in Traverse City, Michigan.
Our team evaluates and treats a broad spectrum of venous conditions—from spider veins and varicose veins to venous ulcers—and is committed to ethical, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Job Type
Part-time (2–3 days per week) no nights, no call, no weekends!
What You’ll Do
As an important member of our clinical team, you will perform diagnostic venous ultrasound examinations and help provide the information needed to guide patient care and treatment planning.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform high-quality venous duplex ultrasound examinations, including reflux studies and venous mapping
- Work closely with the physician and clinical staff to support patient assessment and treatment planning
- Communicate with patients in a professional, compassionate, and reassuring manner throughout their visit
- Provide appropriate education and information regarding the ultrasound process and their care
- Accurately document studies and patient information in the electronic medical record
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and follow all applicable safety, quality, and infection-control standards
Qualifications
- Current RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist)
- At least 1-year experience performing venous insufficiency reflux ultrasound examinations
- Excellent patient communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, patient-centered clinical setting
- Comfortable working with electronic medical record systems; Streamline experience helpful but not required
