Northern Metropolitan Residential Healthcare Facility in Monsey, NY, is looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our compassionate team. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Registered Dietitian, you will:Assess and Monitor: Evaluate residents' nutritional status and develop tailored care plans.Special Needs Evaluation: Address unique nutritional needs related to skin breakdown and weight management.Coordination: Work with vendors and department heads to procure nutrition support supplies and oral supplements.Meal Service Monitoring: Ensure that diet modifications are adhered to during meal service.Education: Teach residents, families, and staff about nutrition and diet modifications.Care Plan Evaluation: Routinely assess the effectiveness of Dietary Care plans to maintain high-quality care.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Meet weekly with the team to review and adjust residents’ care plans.Collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologist: Ensure appropriate diets for residents with dysphagia.Menu Review: Ensure all menu changes comply with facility policies and State/Federal guidelines.Daily Updates: Update diet orders and menu changes in our computer menu software.Supervision: Lead and support the dietary team in delivering exceptional resident care.Quality Audits: Conduct routine audits to ensure quality nutrition care.Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations and policies regarding weight monitoring.Daily Communication: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide top-notch care.What We’re Looking ForTo thrive in this role, you should have:Registered Dietitian Certification: Must be a Registered Dietitian.Educational Background: Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.Technical Skills: Proficiency in EMR software and computer-based menu systems.Why Join Us?Northern Metropolitan Residential Healthcare Facility is dedicated to helping residents achieve their maximum potential for independence, personal comfort, and quality of life.
