General duties in maintenance in masonry, mechanical and electrical areas. Under general day-to-day supervision, applies knowledge of a specific field using several varied procedures and techniques.
Essential Functions
- Maintains all refrigeration equipment.
- Assists Carpenter when needed.
- Assists Electrician when needed.
- Assists in groundskeeping and snow removal when needed.
- Participates in the Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Provides strict patient confidentiality.
- Assists in boiler plant operations.
- Performs such related duties not listed herein but deemed in the best interest of NMMC.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year in carpentry.
- Holds valid Refrigeration Technicians Certificate.
- Will train in all other areas required.
- Verbal ability is necessary to communicate with workers and other members of hospital staff and to interpret technical manuals related to maintenance.
- Numerical ability is necessary to make proper calculations for estimates of repair and maintenance.
- Manual and finger dexterity.
