Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including cooking stations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas for daily specials.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in various settings.
- Maintain knowledge of dietary restrictions and preferences to accommodate guests' needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or restaurant settings.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
