Position Overview:Responsible for outside product sales activities, and parts, service sales for all existing and potential Northern Lights, Inc. (NLI) customers, focusing on Commercial Marine Operators, and Industrial Generator Set Operators. Work involves using creativity, initiative and working well with customers. Responsible to grow NLI and obtain market penetration.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):Promotes products offered by NLI to all existing and potential customers. Promotes parts and service sales and support to existing and potential customers. Completes all required paperwork in a neat and timely manner. Follows all policies set forth by Northern Lights, Inc. Presents self well as a professional representative of Northern Lights, Inc.Provide two new customer contacts per week minimum. Meet established sales goals.Offer technical assistance to customers and staff; provide training as needed. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing established sales goals.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum 2 years previous experience as sales representative.Knowledge of product and service Company.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.Ability to meet sales goalsAbility to close and negotiate salesGood prospecting skillsEducation & Experience:High school degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Completion of recommended Company training programs.Other Criteria:Complies with Company policies and procedures.Performs job safely with respect to others, to property and to individual safety.Works effectively with others in the Company to encourage teamwork and productivity.Must have & maintain a clean & valid driver’s license. Must be able to adhere to a regular work schedule and travel approximately 25%.We are drug free workplace that conducts pre-employment physical and drug screenings.
