Position Overview:
The Production Assembler is responsible for Assembly of product to bill of materials. Work involves ability to follow directions and work with limited supervision. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

    • Receive work orders for the job and plan details of working procedure and tools.
    • Perform quality checks for mistakes or faulty components in the assembly process.
    • Assemble and program electrical panels.
    • Put together wire harnesses to specifications
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues.
    • Read schematics and wire electrical to specifications.
    • Supplies own tools.
    • Assist with assembly and other production tasks, as needed. 
    • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
    • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Strong technical and mechanical skills and experience required; product knowledge helpful. 
  • Ability to write and present information clearly to co-workers. 
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills. 
  • Must be able to read, write and understand assembly instructions. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently without close supervision. 
  • Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude. 

Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Technical training in electrical and mechanical is helpful. 
  • Minimum two years of related experience and/or training. 

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 

Other Criteria:

  • For insurance purposes, must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license for the state they are driving in required.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Performs job safely with respect to others, to property and to individual safety.
  • Works effectively with others in the company to encourage teamwork and productivity.
  • We are drug free workplace that conducts pre-employment physical and drug screenings. We are regulated by the department of transportation and will be conducting random drug testing at regular intervals.
