What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dental Hygienist position at Northern Lights Dental?
We are seeking a full-time hygienist with strong interpersonal skills to join our growing dental practice. Experience is preferred and a current dental hygienist license is required. Our modern, digital practice provides restorative care, prosthodontics, endodontics, extractions, clear aligner therapy, and dental implants. North Dakota Dental Hygiene license is required. Our clinic is open from 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and occasional Friday mornings.
Job Responsibilities
- Offer quality care with a positive attitude
- Patient screening procedures, such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting
- Complete Periodontal Charting
- Removing calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth
- Applying preventive materials to the teeth sealants and fluorides
- Patient education of appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling
- Obtaining impressions of patients' teeth for study models
