What are the responsibilities and job description for the Premium Products Operator position at Northern Lights Candle Company?
Primary Duties:
Obtain / handle various materials, components and products from storage, queue, containers and work areas.
Load various items, as required, to work area, jigs, fixtures or machines.
Perform identified manual manufacturing activities requiring detailed processing, assemble, and or preparation of items / products for the internal or external customer.
Operate non-complex equipment to process, assemble, and or prepare items / products for the internal or external customer.
Check components, sub-assemblies and products for conspicuous defects during all aspects of the manufacturing activities / processes.
Move completed units in the appropriate manner / containers to the next function or designated areas.
Use various methods and equipment to move a variety of material handling / product carriers.
Perform identified maintenance to machines and related equipment.
Maintain operating parameters of equipment and processes.
Perform product inspection to visually inspect for conspicuous defects, take appropriate rework actions as defined, and or, reject items within defect categories. Communicate / document actions as directed.
Keep machines, equipment, and work area clean and orderly for operational and work force safety benefits.
Keep any production and or quality related records.
Employee is responsible for operational productivity, continuous improvement / suggestions and involvement.
Employee is responsible for product, function, quality, and job safety. This requires the employee to maintain a full working knowledge of the performance, quality and safety requirements of the function being performed.
The employee is to support job related operational training needs regarding existing and or new manufacturing practices / processes / technologies.
Perform any other duties related in nature that may be assigned by the supervisor.
***This is a manufacturing hourly ($16.50 per hour) temporary full time, on-site position located in Wellsville, NY**
