Essential Functions
Clinical Services (55-60% Direct Care)
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy to consumers, primarily children and adults with IDD
- Offer crisis intervention during daytime hours and participate in after-hours crisis support rotation as needed.
- Complete evaluations/annual re-assessments, develop therapy goals and service plans as determined medically necessary.
- Support families by facilitating sessions focused on caregiver needs and systemic support
- Ability to travel to all SE counties to provide services.
- Consult with internal and external providers to ensure high-quality care across systems
- Partner with schools, courts, DHHS, ISDs, and substance use providers
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration within NLCMHA to uphold standards of care
- Participate in Utilization Review, service impact evaluation, and program planning
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation to meet Medicaid and Northern Lakes CMHA standards per policy.
- Assist in resolving inquiries and complaints related to provided services
- Contribute to local initiatives and represent NLCMHA on internal and external committees
- Participating in community education and caregiver support activities
- Promote organizational development and continuous quality improvement
- Must have knowledge and experience in the examination, evaluation and treatment of adults, children and families.
- Must possess or learn family therapy, solution focused therapy skills, and person-centered planning.
- Must be licensed and maintain licensure in the State of Michigan as one of the following
- LMSW, LPC, Psychologist
- Limited licensure considered
- Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited university.
